How do I request a filing extension on the BE-45?

For the efficient processing of the survey and timely dissemination of the results, it is important that your report be filed by the due date. Nevertheless, reasonable requests for extension of the reporting deadline will be granted. Requests for an extension of more than 30 days must be in writing and should explain the basis for the request. You may request an extension via email at BE-45extension@bea.gov or fax the request to (301) 278-9506. All requests for extension must be received no later than the due date of the report.
