What is International Services (Expanded Detail)?
A broader and more detailed look at international services supplied by and to the United States than appears in BEA’s International Transactions Accounts or statistics on the activities of multinational enterprises. The statistics with expanded detail reflect services supplied both through trade between U.S. residents and residents of other countries and by multinational enterprises through their U.S. or foreign affiliates. They also feature detail on trade in information and communications technology services and digitally deliverable services and provide insight into the characteristics of U.S. firms that trade services.
